Professors and students of the National University of Engineering (UNI) will benefit with this alliance.
The Chamber of Mines of Peru and the National University of Engineering (UNI) are working together to promote a cultural revolution. The cooperation of both institutions will benefit students and professors from this renowned university.
Peruvian university graduates are knowledgeable about a variety of engineering subjects at present. However, they have not been trained in aspects such as personal development, professional leadership; as well as training of high-performance teams and the development of management skills.
Therefore, a team comprising The Chamber of Mines of Peru and UNI has determined that these subjects are essential elements to successfully place young people in the job market, and promote a cultural revolution in student’s education.
The Chamber of Mines of Peru is an institution committed to the educational sector. Thus, through multiple agreements, it leads a change in the paradigm of higher education teaching, especially in areas related to the mining sector. This applies to Peru and other countries in the region.
Different training activities of “Personal Development and Management Skills for the Future Engineer” will be carried out with UNI students to achieve this objective.
These workshops will cover topics related to “Ontological Coaching and Personal SWOT for Comprehensive Personnel Development”; “Negotiation and Consensus-Building in Engineering”; as well as “Development of Self-Esteem and Self-Concept to Achieve Success in Engineering” and “Emotional Intelligence Applied to Engineering”.
These topics are part of the basic aspects of engineers’ personal development at present. It should be noted that the workshops of The Chamber of Mines of Peru are intended for all students and professors of UNI.
Likewise, these workshops will promote a true cultural revolution through various cultural activities in June and July. These activities will take place at the Gran Teatro (Great Auditorium) from the National University of Engineering (UNI).
In addition, it will allow students to develop new skills to lead work teams and perform in today’s competitive and demanding job market.
