Mining training is one of the institutional objectives of the Chamber of Mines of Peru. That is why on this occasion, it provided the «Training in 2019 Mining Sector Outlook.»
The Chamber of Mines of Peru organized at the Jorge Basadre Grohmann National University located in Tacna, the training course «Mining Sector Outlook in Latin America 2019».
This refreshed mining training course was aimed at students and teachers of mining, geological, metallurgical engineering and related branches of the university.
It should also be noted that the initiative is part of one of the institution’s strategic objectives, which is to promote responsible mining for everyone.
The training course was given by Dr. Carlos Castagnola, Senior Management Advisor of Chamber of Mines of Peru.
2019 Mining Sector Outlook Training by Dr. Carlos Castagnola
Dr. Castagnola has more than 25 years of experience in the field of politics and education. In his outstanding professional career, he stands out as a Consultant in Coaching, Leadership and Psychological Tools.
In addition, Dr. Carlos Castagnola has worked in different leading companies in the mining sector such as Doe Run (Peru) and Colquiri (Bolivia). He holds a PhD degree in Education and a master’s degree in Development Management conferred by the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.
During the training, Dr. Castagnola explained various topics such as mining investment in Peru for the current year, the challenges of global mining, social conflicts, etc.
In addition, he offered a national and global analysis on the development of mining and the new technological trends in the sector.

Finally, training concluded with the words of Dr. Castagnola, who advised young people to keep abreast of the political and social events that concern mining.
