The alliance between the Chamber of Mines of Peru and the Autonomous Metropolitan University of Mexico (UAM) seeks to strengthen institutional and academic relations to work together during 2020.
Representatives of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, together with Dr. Joaquín Flores Méndez, General Coordinator for Academic Strengthening and Relations of the General Rector’s Office of the UAM of Mexico, signed the alliance at the facilities of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, in Lima.
At this meeting, Dr. Flores expressed his enthusiasm to work with the Chamber of Mines of Peru in the near future. Thus, he pledged to provide academic support from his renowned institution to the PhD programs of the Chamber of Mines of Peru.
In addition, the representative of the iconic UAM of Mexico, considers the alliance with the Chamber of Mines of Peru important because it is an institution of international prestige, and gives him the security of being able to make a fluent exchange of academic knowledge between his country and Peru.
He also recognized the value of the innovative educational model of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, as well as its incursion into various areas of knowledge and the quality of our graduates, who are now in management positions in various renowned companies.
After this first meeting, Engineer Julio César Gallardo, Senior Management Advisor of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, had a meeting with Dr. Flores Méndez and Dr. Sonia Pérez Toledo, Coordinator of the UAM of Mexico, at the facilities of the National University of San Marcos.
Institutional relations were strengthened and the representatives of the UAM of Mexico ratified their desire to work with the Doctorates of the Chamber of Mines of Peru in 2020.
Finally, in order to strengthen the alliance, the Chamber of Mines of Peru was invited to visit the facilities of UAM Mexico in the near future. This, in addition, in order to maintain continuous contact and strengthen academic projects.
