A team of top level professionals will be the promoters and drivers of studies and initiatives in the mining sector.
As part of creation of the Advisory Council of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, on Tuesday, September 6, the Technical Committee was installed and chaired by Eng. Cesar Gallardo Vela.
The Consultative Council started actions on August 22; and one of its first tasks was to define the agenda to be dealt with by a select team, which would integrate the Technical Committee. This is now a reality; the members will be the promoters and drivers of studies and initiatives in the mining sector.
The incorporation ceremony of the Advisory Members, held on Monday, September 12, was headed by Mr. Luis Iberico, president of the Advisory Council, and by the Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, Eng. Cesar Gallardo.
Cesar Gallardo, our chief executive officer, stated at installation ceremony of the Technical Committee that the “Advisory Council has been designed as a qualified advisory team; both to submit proposals to the different government agencies and to monitor and/or evaluate the existing alternatives”.
For his part, Iberico pointed out that “with incorporation of professionals of the stature of Luis Alva Florian and Mrs. Xennia Forno, the Advisory Council guarantees to be a voice that builds in favor of the country with concrete and viable technical proposals. At the Chamber of Mines of Peru we are committed to an agenda that contributes to decision making and the promotion of sustainable development of a global mining industry”.
The Advisory Council of the Chamber of Mines of Peru is committed to society and sustainable development; basing its contributions on ethical behavior, complying with applicable laws and intergovernmental instruments.
The Chamber of Mines of Peru has invited outstanding professionals to join the CTC. For example, Eng. Lourival Tavares, Director of Mining Maintenance, is part of the Technical Advisory Committee of our institution. Mr. Carlos Hernandez Condori, Director of Mining Training; Mr. Churchill Vela Velasquez, Director of Geology Department; Mg. Roberto Poncela Poncela, Director of Environment Department, and MBA Oscar Calero Revolledo, Director of Mining Management.
