The Chamber of Mines of Peru and the UNI signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement.
This agreement will allow them to collaborate as a strengthening mechanism for the joint development of academic, research, cultural, social responsibility, consulting and investment promotion activities.
The chief executive officer of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, Eng. Cesar Gallardo Vela, and the rector of UNI, Mr. Jorge Alva Hurtado, agreed to work together for the benefit of students and professors of the university.
«In terms of academic activities, this agreement seeks to enhance the knowledge and skills of students and professors, as well as to find solutions to challenges facing engineering in Peru; research is important to us, with the dual purpose of generating resources for the university,» said Eng. Gallardo.
Promotion of culture
On the other hand, the chief executive officer of the Chamber of Mines of Peru indicated that «it is fundamental to promote the culture of our country, while promoting a positive message regarding the various industrial activities; the university has a role in terms of social responsibility, by bringing students and professors closer to the communities. To promote their development by helping them to generate their own income through training oriented to the generation of small entrepreneurs».
Finally, Eng. Gallardo affirmed that: «the university must participate in the promotion of foreign investment. Likewise, promote the attractiveness of the companies to other countries. This will allow to UNI to be recognized for its capacity to generate solutions not only in engineering, but also for the development of the country.
