Professionals from ten countries participate in VIRTUAL MINE 2021

As part of a series of activities that the Chamber of Mines of Peru carries out to encourage mining for everyone, with responsibility and positive impact, the VIRTUAL MINE 2021 is taking place this week, an event that brings together professionals from ten countries.

In this opportunity, the Chamber of Mines of Peru, organizer of the event, has prepared a program with interesting plenary conferences and short courses for the five days of the event.

Thus, the attractive proposal presented in this opportunity, through the participation of international speakers, has become a success for the academic event.

But, where do the participants come from? The VIRTUAL MINE 2021 professionals come from ten countries. These are Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Brazil.

Plenary sessions and Short Courses

The future ahead of us in mining is quite complex and challenging, such as the activities that are developed on a daily basis in mining operations, both surface and underground. It is with this in mind that the Chamber of Mines of Peru has prepared the program for VIRTUAL MINE 2021.

Thus, among the plenary sessions are conferences such as “Human Resource Management in Mining”, given by Mg. Rodrigo Catalán from Chile (Human Resources Manager at Minera Zaldivar); “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Underground Mining”, presented by Edisson Pizarro, MBA from Chile (Director of Applied Technology and Commissioning at Codelco); “Risk Assessment and Control in SSOMA”, presented by Mg. Yamal Suez from Chile (Corporate Director of Compliance Control at Codelco); among others.

Also, in the case of the Short Courses, the organizing committee coordinated that Dr. Filiberto Mata from Mexico, professor at the San Luis de Potosí Autonomous University, would present “Applied Soil Mechanics in Mining.”

Other short courses include “Use of air blasting chamber as a cost saving method”; “Modeling and Simulation of comminution processes and equipment”; “Planning and design of underground mines”; “Hydrogeology and mining methods”; and many more.

It is important to remember that VIRTUAL MINE 2021 will be attended by mining specialists from different parts of the world.

Virtual Mine 2021 is the Congress that will provide, during the development of its program, proposals and best practices by highly qualified experts in the areas of management, geology, mining, metallurgy, safety, mining maintenance and legal.
