The Chamber of Mines of Peru wants to introduce a paradigm change that allows the optimization of the mining business with a change management. In addition, it aims to impart this knowledge to other Latin American countries.
Therefore, our institution delves into fundamental issues to enter the mining activity. Among these are ontological coaching and personal SWOT for an integral development of the mining professional.
In addition, we delve into negotiation and consensus building in mining, as well as the development of self-esteem and self-concept to achieve success in the sector. Finally, we provide knowledge in emotional intelligence applied in mining.
These subjects are not usually included in the curricular structure of the different specialties related to the mining sector.
In turn, teachers must share and transmit these experiences and knowledge of academic and practical value to future generations of professionals.
On the other hand, the objective is to renew the way in which the tasks are carried out within the productive process, so that the extractive activity is carried out with higher profitability standards. Also recognizing the efforts of the responsible mining entrepreneur and taking into consideration the environment protection.
Mining excellence with a challenge of paradigms and change management
Therefore, our institution and the Congress of the Republic of Peru joined efforts to develop two protocol acts of vital importance last May. Undoubtedly, it represents a sense of pride for all those who are part of the mining family in Peru and Latin America.
First, the “III Pending Agenda of the Mining Sector 2016” was held, and then the “II Gold Medal Mining Entrepreneur Award Ceremony 2006 – 2016.” Two unrepeatable events that have become an everlasting memory for all of us who work for the growth and consolidation of the mining sector.
Likewise, it is important for The Chamber of Mines of Peru to respect the mining operator and the peasant communities. Listening and contributing to the development of future professionals with low incomes and peasant communities is important.
For this reason, since 2012, our institution has been promoting free events financed with its own resources, as its objective is to contribute to mining education in Peru.
“We have no idea what the world will be like in 2 years. There is great uncertainty, but we are convinced that education will lead us successfully into the future, together with the support of incentives for innovation and creativity”, commented engineer César Gallardo Vela, CEO of the Chamber of Mines of Peru.
