The Chamber of Mines of Peru and the Civil Association Musuq Illary signed an Inter-institutional Cooperation Framework Agreement with the purpose of promoting reciprocal assistance in the development of technical training and various cultural activities.
Likewise, our institution is focused on creating and promoting social responsibility plans with the communities and the environment. In addition, we provide continuous training to students and professors related to the mining sector.
For its part, Musuq Illary promotes educational development of low-income school and university students in Puno.
Statements by representatives of the Chamber of Mines of Peru and Musuq Illary Civil Association
Father Luis Bejar, president of Musuq Illary Civil Association, welcomed the initiative and assured that thanks to this agreement they will continue the comprehensive development of children and young people in the south of the country.
For his part, the chief executive officer of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, Eng. Cesar Gallardo, showed the support of our institution to generate new social responsibility projects. This will be done through participation of different mining companies in the country. “We want a developed country and society with responsible and sustainable mining”, said Gallardo.
Bejar said, “We seek to contribute from our association with plans and policies for sustainable human development. This in order to have a greater capacity to manage and defend social rights. As well as economic and cultural rights of the poor communities of Puno”.
Likewise, the agreement with the Musuq Illary Civil Association commits to carry out a series of joint actions, among which the following stand out:
- Provide technical assistance and training to personnel of both institutions.
- Co-organize and jointly develop cultural and/or SR activities.
- Collaborate in the dissemination of activities and services organized by both institutions.
