The Chamber of Mines of Peru and Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno de Santa Cruz (UAGRM) signed a cooperation agreement to develop mechanisms and instruments for mutual collaboration.
Through an agreement signed in the city of Santa Cruz, both institutions will work together for human development and knowledge.
The agreement was signed between the CEO of The Chamber of Mines of Peru, Engineer César Gallardo, and the Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Technology, Vismar Rojas.
The purpose of this relationship is to join efforts and available resources that lead to human and knowledge development, as well as technical cooperation and the provision of services that both institutions can offer each other. The ceremony took place in the facilities of the aforementioned university.

The UAGRM representative also stated: “The signing of the agreement allows both institutions to make their strengths and educational contributions known. In this way, we will achieve our objectives together.”
Part of the policy of The Chamber of Mines of Peru is to form strategic alliances with recognized public and private institutions; these include the cooperation agreement signed with the UAGRM of Bolivia.
The aim is to strengthen relationships and contribute to the technological and academic development of both institutions. We not only form agreements at the national level, but also at the international level.
It is worth mentioning that this university is the largest in the department of Santa Cruz. It has more than 100,000 students in its classrooms and is present throughout the department’s territory with academic and technological units, research centers and distance learning courses.
In this way, it contributes to a better education of professionals in the development of responsible mining activities.
