César Campos Rodríguez is a professional journalist, graduated from the Law School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). He has more than 20 years as director and editor of several Peruvian publications, radio and TV programs. He specializes in political, legal-constitutional, local and international issues. He has also been an advisor to the Presidency of the Congress of Peru during the administration of Luis Iberico, and Press Secretary during the second government period of Alan García.
Regarding mining during the coming year, Campos highlighted the importance of generating development projects. “All the dynamic activity of the Peruvian economy for the following year rests mainly on the progress of projects such as Quellaveco, Mina Justa, and Toromocho. Peru is a mining country par excellence and we have to bet on investment”, expressed the journalist.
Campos also believes that mining is a source of employment opportunities in the areas of influence, in addition to contributing to the social development of the country. “Stopping the engine of Peru’s booming mining industry would be detrimental to the country, especially at a time of growth”, mentioned.
The Chamber of Mines and international professionals
César Campos and the Technical Advisory Council are of great importance for the fulfillment of the organization’s work. Therefore, we are happy to celebrate with them these 16 years of The Chamber of Mines of Peru.
They work to achieve our mission of contributing to the growth of the mining activity through the promotion of a positive synergy between companies, society and the State in a globalized environment.
And even considering the current complex situation, at The Chamber of Mines of Peru we maintain our vision of associating, training and advising mining companies and influential agents in the sector.
Finally, we seek to consolidate exploration, extraction, recovery and commercialization activities that benefit all stakeholders in a context of global integration.
