II Mining Congress GEOMET 2016 Expects Over 1400 Participants

The main mining companies in Peru, the most recognized experts in the field, advisors in social management, officials from various government sectors, academics and university students committed to the development of sustainable mining have confirmed their participation in the II International Mining Congress GEOMET 2016. This event organized by the Chamber of Mines of Peru will run from October 11 to October 14 at Peru’s National University of Engineering Theater.

There are at least 1500 people registered to participate in this event. It will feature the exhibitions of over 30 national and international experts of the mining activity who will share their experiences during these 4 days.

“Optimizing and reducing costs in mining operations” is the slogan that identifies this new edition of the II Mining Congress GEOMET 2016. It aims to link all the actors involved in mining activities to achieve better performance and efficiency in the development of operations, always protecting the environment and in harmony with neighboring communities.

“The Mining Congress 2016 GEOMET is the ideal opportunity for leading experts and academics to discuss the new mining of the 21st century and the role that both mining companies and the State have to assume to guarantee the development of a global and sustainable mining industry that benefits all Peruvians”, said Eng. César Gallardo Vela, Executive Director of the Chamber of Mines of Peru.

During the four days of the II Mining Congress GEOMET 2016, attendees will also be able to appreciate the “Arte y Minería” (Art and Mining) exhibition and visit the University’s three museums free of charge. Do not miss this opportunity.

Finally, it is worth noting that the CMP is pride and mining tradition. In addition, we promote the development of companies, society, and the State for a common benefit in the current globalized context.
