Framework agreement, National University of the Altiplano and the CMP

The Chamber of Mines of Peru and the National University of the Altiplano of Puno signed the Framework Agreement of Interinstitutional Cooperation.

Likewise, this alliance was made to promote joint collaboration, cooperation and mutual assistance in the development of technical training and various cultural activities.

One of the main problems in current education is the lack of academic institutions focused on innovation and improvement of new techniques in the mining sector.

Being aware of this reality, Ing. César Gallardo Vela, CEO of CAMIPER, Dr. Porfirio Enríquez Salas, Rector of the National University of the Altiplano, and MSc. Oscar Llanque Maquera, Dean of the School of Mining Engineering, are committed to working together for the development of professionals.

This agreement commits both parties to take coordinated actions, which include:

  1. Provide technical assistance and training to the personnel of both institutions.
  2. Jointly organize and develop cultural and/or social responsibility activities.
  3. Collaborate in the dissemination of activities and services organized by both institutions.

Agreements and Strategic Alliances with the National University of the Altiplano

The National University of the Altiplano (UNAP) is a public educational institution created by Decree on August 26, 1856. It is also the oldest and most important university in the region, with more than 160 years of history in this city.

Its 19 faculties have 18,941 students, distributed in 37 professional schools.

It is also considered one of the 5 best universities, according to the National Assembly of Rectors of Peru.

Therefore, the UNAP is a national university with a democratic orientation and dedicated to the service of professional training of young people, contributing to the scientific and humanistic development of the Peruvian nation.

Likewise, this university has a variety of professional programs in different branches of knowledge, such as:
