As part of the program, the engineer César Gallardo Vela, CEO of The Chamber of Mines of Peru, dedicated emotional words recognizing the dedication and effort of the mining entrepreneurs to carry out their work. “The mining entrepreneur is characterized by an imperishable and unique will that distinguishes him from the rest of the people; he dedicates his life to assume great and continuous risks. Mining entrepreneurs have been and continue to be the people who are responsible for ensuring mineral wealth does not remain hidden and untapped.”
Dissemination of Mining Culture and Tradition
In addition to recognizing and highlighting the work of mining entrepreneurs, this award ceremony also aims to contribute to the dissemination of Peru’s mining culture and tradition. After the emotional speech given by engineer César Gallardo Vela, engineer Guido del Castillo Echegaray received the award. The entrepreneur received the Medal and Diploma of Honor on behalf of the Congress of the Republic of Peru and The Chamber of Mines of Peru in recognition of his professional career.
