Advisory Council of the Chamber of Mines of Peru adds more Specialists

The prominent professionals are international experts in Mining Law, Management and Mining Operations.

Advisory Council of the Chamber of Mines of Peru adds more Specialists

Dr. Xennia Forno, expert in Mining and Environmental Law, and Ing. Luis Alva Florián, international consultant in Mining Management and Operations, are now part of the Advisory Council of the Chamber of Mines of Peru.

In a ceremony held at the central office of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, the incorporation of two of the main experts in Mining Law and Mining Management and Operations as Advisory Members of the Advisory Council of the Chamber of Mines of Peru was formalized. They are the expert in Mining and Environmental Law, Dr. Xennia Forno Castro-Pozo, and Ing. Luis Alva Florián, international consultant in Mining Management and Operations.

With the incorporation of these outstanding specialists, the Advisory Council of the Chamber of Mines of Peru is strengthened to develop a permanent integration agenda for the definition, validation, positioning, implementation and monitoring of mining activities carried out in Peru and the main countries of the region, with the aim of consolidating a global and sustainable mining that benefits everyone.

Incorporation of Members of the Advisory Council of the Chamber of Mines

The ceremony of incorporation of the Advisory Members, held on Monday, September 12, was headed by Lic. Luis Iberico, President of the Advisory Council, and by Ing. César Gallardo Vela, Chied Executive Director of the Chamber of Mines of Peru.

“With the incorporation of professionals of the stature of Luis Alva Florián and Dra. Xennia Forno, the Advisory Council guarantees to be a voice that contributes in favor of the country with concrete and viable technical proposals. At the Chamber of Mines of Peru, we are committed to an agenda that contributes to decision making and to the promotion of sustainable development of a global mining industry”, said Iberico.

César Gallardo Vela, Chief Executive Officer of the institution, said, “the Advisory Council has been designed as a qualified advisory team, both to reach proposals to the different government agencies and to follow up and/or evaluate existing alternatives.”
