Ing. César Gallardo Vela
President & CEO
Twenty years of professional experience for the mining and industrial sector in the world.
He served as Chief Executive Director of the Chamber of Mines of Peru from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, he also became President of our institution. He has 20 years of professional experience in the mining and industrial sector. He holds a professional degree in Fluid Mechanical Engineering granted by the National University of San Marcos. Registration code in the National Council of the Peruvian Association of Professional Engineers CIP 134411.
As President of the Chamber of Mines of Peru, he works on the integration of all stakeholders related to mining sector, thus contributing to the development of an extractive activity with social and environmental responsibility in a global integration context, promoting mining for all.
As for social responsibility, he has worked with his own resources to train students and teachers from Peruvian universities, training more than 5,000 students with access to scholarships and training programs abroad.
In May 2016, the President of the Congress of the Republic of Peru honored him with a diploma and a medal of honor for his permanent and successful contribution in favor of the development of a responsible mining with a sense of solidarity.
