Engineer César Gallardo Vela, Executive Director of the Chamber of Mines of Peru was invited Congressman Carlos Tubino Arias-Schreiber. Mr. Tubino is a member of the Organizing Committee of the event hosted in the Raúl Porras Barrenechea room of the Congress of the Republic.
The CMP has been constantly working this year alongside the Presidency of the Congress of the Republic, contributing to the development of the economy, society, and culture of Peru. This has served to strengthen the ties of collaboration and friendship between both institutions.
“In my opinion, this initiative is extraordinary. It has been an honor to participate in the organization of this event. It is always important to stop our activities for a moment and thank God for all the things that the country has achieved this year”, said Congressman Carlos Tubino Arias-Schreiber, member of the Organizing Committee of the event.
Likewise, he expressed his gratitude for the attendance of the CMP and recalled the importance of mineral extraction for the economic and social growth of Peru.
“We really appreciate the participation of the Chamber of Mines of Peru. Let us remember that Peru is a mining country and this activity supplies much of our country’s income. Mining is an industry that promotes our economy. We are very happy with the attendance of members of this institution”.
He praised the collaboration during the event
During his speech, Eng. César Gallardo Vela, Executive Director of the CMP, also expressed his gratitude for the invitation to this celebration.
“I feel very excited to have received this invitation to be part of the organization of this event. I take this opportunity to thank all the congressmen who have participated in the realization of the events that we have had throughout this year and that have allowed us to contribute to the economic and social growth of our beloved Peru”, he stated.
Another evidence of the collaboration between both institutions is last May’s event the “III Agenda Pendiente del Sector Minero”. This event gathered over 600 people, filling the rooms Raúl Porras Barrenechea, Miguel Grau and Gustavo Mohme of the Congress of the Republic. It aimed to foster relations between mining companies, communities, and the State.
Likewise, I Seminar on “Estrategias Efectivas para Alcanzar el Éxito en el Sector Minero” (Effective Strategies to Achieve Success in the Mining Sector), the took place in June 2016. It had an attendance of over 500 Deans, Directors, faculty, and students from several universities from all the regions of Peru. The purpose was to present tools and strategies that allow optimizing the academic quality of the universities related to the mining activity.
It should be noted that the “Acción de Gracias” ceremony is held at the end of each legislative year. It serves to bring together the congressmen and representatives of many religious groups to honor God for what the country has achieved throughout the year.
