The Mining Chamber of Peru visited the Congress of the Republic last Thursday, July 28th for the ceremony and subsequent speech of President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, who succeeds former President Ollanta Humala in office, under the eyes of all Peruvians.
PPK received the official greeting from the diplomatic corps accredited in Peru, as well as from the representatives of international organizations within the framework of the protocol activities for his inauguration.
After being sworn in as the new Head of State, the new President assured that he “will faithfully exercise the office of President of the Republic entrusted to him by the Nation, defending the national sovereignty and the physical and moral integrity of the Republic”.

Eng. César Gallardo Vela, Executive Director of the Mining Chamber of Peru, alongside Dr. Carlos Castagnola, Senior Management Advisor, visited the Congress of the Republic. There, they had the privilege of witnessing such an important event for the future of Peru. The first speech of PPK as President of the country.
This, as part of the strategic alliance that exists to contribute the development and protection of the environment and social responsibility.
The attendance of the members of the CMP in the Chamber of the National Parliament only ratifies our good relations with the State to collaborate with the members of the different parties to promote and encourage support for a responsible and sustainable mining community.
Because being present in President Kuczynski’s speech supports our Mission. To contribute to the development of the mining activity through the promotion of a positive synergy between companies, society, and the State in a globalized environment.
And this is achieved by establishing relationships with the authorities and the communities.
