The President of the “Dean of the Americas” (UNMSM) remarked the mutual support between both institutions in academic matters.
The National University of San Marcos (UNMSM) and The Chamber of Mines of Peru strengthen friendship ties within the framework of the 141st anniversary of the UNMSM.
Distinguished authorities from the academic and business fields attended the protocol activities for the creation anniversary of the School of Civil and Mining Engineers, name under which UNI was created. One of the attendees was Dr. Orestes Cachay Boza, UNMSM President, who held a technical and friendly meeting with Dr. Carlos Castagnola, Secretary General of the Advisory Council of The Chamber of Mines of Peru.
This event strengthens friendship and inter-institutional cooperation ties between UNMSM and our institution, especially for strategic projects.
The President of the “Dean of the Americas” highlighted the academic and professional performance and contribution of Engineer César Gallardo Vela, President of The Chamber of Mines of Peru, who graduated from the UNMSM. He also highlighted the friendship ties our institution has with the UNMSM; and the efforts of both institutions to develop and implement activities related to the cultural field as well as mutual support in academic matters.
He also remarked the need to work hand in hand to be an important piece in the development of Peru, and the evident commitment of both institutions to contribute to a prosperous country for everyone, apart from the friendship ties with the UNMSM.
Dr. Carlos Castagnola, representative of The Chamber of Mines of Peru at the event, conveyed the fraternal greetings of our institution to Dr. Orestes Cachay. He also stated that they will continue to strengthen the friendship ties with the UNMSM; and promote the development of a sustainable global mining for the benefit of everyone involved in the sector, with a solid social and environmental commitment.
