Agreement signed with the Ministry of Mining and Metallurgy of Bolivia

The agreement between The Chamber of Mines of Peru and the Ministry of Mining and Metallurgy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia was signed at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.

The Chamber of Mines of Peru: constantly working in favor of Latin-American mining

Engineer César Gallardo Vela, President of The Chamber of Mines of Peru, signed an inter-institutional cooperation framework agreement with César Navarro Miranda, the Minister of Mining and Metallurgy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. In addition, the members of both the Advisory Council of The Chamber of Mines of Peru and the Commission of the Ministry of Mining and Metallurgy of Bolivia participated in this event.

This agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between the Ministry of Mining and Metallurgy of Bolivia and The Chamber of Mines of Peru. It is signed a few days before the 3rd Binational Cabinet of Peru and Bolivia.

Contact between countries

Minister Navarro highlighted the importance of this agreement. He stated, “The signing of the agreement has a multiple and great dimension, involving the Bolivian State, which as a public institution has a very important link with the private sector of the sister Republic of Peru”.

He also mentioned, “This agreement allows us to have meetings, contact and experiences in different areas. If we do not make the most appropriate decisions in technical matters today, we will have exploitation problems in productive matters tomorrow “.

The minister also stated, “It is important to make decisions, and the agreement reached with the most important private sector in the sister Republic of Peru is important for us”.

On the other hand, the president of The Chamber of Mines of Peru said, “This is a framework agreement that will allow us to work specifically in each of these strategic points”.

Basis for Peru – Bolivia mining development

The president of The Chamber of Mines of Peru mentioned that the strategic objectives of the framework agreement include contributing to mining processes viability, updating training programs and promoting mining culture as a mechanism to promote respect for the sector.

Finally, the president of The Chamber of Mines of Peru mentioned, “We are convinced that working together will allow us to achieve our common objectives and improve the relationship among mining companies, communities and the State”.
