Bolivia’s Minister of Mining and Metallurgy awarded by The Chamber

Minister César Navarro was awarded the Order of The Chamber of Mines of Peru in the rank of Grand Officer.

Yesterday, The Chamber of Mines of Peru awarded the Order of The Chamber of Mines of Peru, in the rank of Grand Officer, to the Minister of Mining and Metallurgy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, César Navarro Miranda. The protocol ceremony, carried out in the José Quiñones hall of the Congress of the Republic of Peru, was held in recognition of Minister Navarro’s broad experience in favor of the development of mining in his country and South American mining integration.

The ceremony was attended by the CEO of The Chamber of Mines of Peru, César Gallardo Vela, and the members of the Advisory Council. The ceremony was also attended by renowned mining personalities from Peru and Bolivia.

Bolivia’s Minister of Mining and Metallurgy: “Mining is a factor of national development”

In his speech of thanks, Minister Navarro highlighted the role of mining in Bolivia and Latin America as a factor of development, as well as a revenue generator.

“We cannot have great mineral wealth if it does not allow us to develop our multiple potentialities as a country,” noted the Minister. “For us, mining is not simply a revenue generator, an employment generator, but a factor in regional development and national development.”

The Bolivia’s Minister of Mining and Metallurgy dedicated his award “in the name of the many miners, metallurgists, geologists, etc. Those who every day in the deep mine shafts, are building history, building life, and also sowing hope.”

The Minister also expressed that “The Chamber of Mines of Peru is a meeting point”, since “we do not simply promote policies or productive actions, but we develop actions that allow improving the conditions of human beings.”

Finally, the Bolivia’s Minister of Mining and Metallurgy sent his warmest greetings to The Chamber of Mines of Peru. “A big hug to all the members, to the men and women who founded, promoted, sustain and project The Chamber of Mines of Peru. Congratulations and keep going forward.”
