First leadership course for Cobriza mine of Doe Run Perú

The Chamber of Mines of Peru organized the first course “Leadership, teamwork, communication and its influence on safety” for Cobriza mine. The course was held at the Parco club facilities, which belongs to Cobriza mine of Doe Run Perú.

The course was taught by Dr. Carlos Castagnola, consultant to the Senior Management of our institution, from December 14 to 16 at the facilities of the Parco club in Cobriza, Huancavelica.

The expert shared his experiences and knowledge on leadership models, assertiveness, as well as psychological tools in the mining sector and change management to achieve success in mining.

Among those attending the event were professionals from Cobriza mine: project, maintenance, geology and mine safety managers. They all participated actively in the classes and workshops organized by the speaker.

The manager of Cobriza mine, José Manuel Blanco, referred to the first leadership course for the mine. “We sincerely thank The Chamber of Mines of Peru for its contribution to the training of professionals in the Peruvian mining sector.”

“It is a great opportunity to have the In-Company courses of The Chamber of Mines of Peru, as it allows our employees to expand their knowledge and experience, as necessary tools for the generation of a change”, concluded the Engineer.

The Cobriza mine is located in Huancavelica and is operated by the company Doe Run. It also has several copper reserves.

Likewise, The Chamber of Mines of Peru introduces classroom training for the benefit of students and teachers. They belong to different national universities throughout the country.
